A great looking gold nugget on the end of a chain will be inspected over and over again every time that it is worn to a party and everyone will want to know where it was found. What river? What state? When? It seems that there is a story in every gold nugget that needs to come out.
The first rule of gold nuggets is that nuggets that are jewelry size and that means beyond the size of a pea are worth more by weight then actual pure 24 carat gold. How much more? Well that depends on the size and shape of them. It also depends on whether you have bought the nuggets individually and have them mounted or buy them already on a piece of finished jewelry.
Gold nuggets that are embedded in quarts crystal are particularly beautiful and costly. How costly? That depends on where you buy them and who from. Gold that is naturaly embeded in pink quarts is particularlñy prized and is the most expensive of all. Of course the cheapest person to buy gold nuggets from is from a gold miner but you will have real trouble finding one in the city you live in. However; there are jewelers that specialize in gold nuggets.
